Cadet Motel - Cornwall-on-Hudson

Only place I could find free and at a reasonable (ie non-crazy) price around West Point Academy.

The place is not bad per se: hot water, beds, good location. The problem is it's squalid, it looks dirty and decaying. I know it would just take a good coat of paint to make it look immensely better, but still the overall effect is that of an old and dirty hotel. If I had had any other choice, I would have taken it.

Conveneient to Sterling Forest State Park

While Booked.net accepted the American Express card for my reservation, the motel did not and I had to use another card. For payment. I hope I'm not billed twice ! I would recommend the motel mostly to fellow hunters looking for accommodations that are clean, warm, dry and affordable. While it was quite during my stay, to avoid noise from the Karaoke Bar next door get a room on the north side of the office. My res was 4 a rm w/ 2 dbl beds. Since I was a single I was given a rm w/ 1 dbl bed. No problem. Booked 2ngts,stayed1,got refund !

The hotel was a relaxing base for enjoying a safe area, near Storm King Art Center and Dia Beacon as well as Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Units with bathroom redone as new...

The very, very nice staff accommodated all the needs. The location was great and good for exploring this safe area, adjacent to the mexican restaurant, and an outlet which juggled powering the lamp, the microwave, and the fridge. Also, it was within 15 minutes by car from Cornwall ny Dog Park.

We explored West Point and hiked at Storm King Art Center. The place is cozy and clean, and the staff was super friendly. It's perfect for a group looking for affordable accommodations. Just keep in mind, you won't find fancy amenities, but it's great for a good night's rest.

One downside was the lack of nearby open stores late at night. It would've been nice to grab some snacks after exploring.

The room wasnice and neat, complete with air conditioning, cable channels, and a private bathroom with plenty of towels. Plus, it had a mini-fridge and microwave. The staff were super friendly, even giving us bottled water when we needed it. Location was nice and quiet too, which helped us rest.

The staff was accommodating, providing us with extra towels right away. We especially loved how clean the room was and the efficient A/C that kept us cool . With a large family, it was important to have ample space, and we were not disappointed.

My kids wished for a more modern bathroom setup.

It was great to relax by the pool and enjoy some downtime on the patio. The only thing was that the air conditioner was a bit noisy, but it didn't ruin my experience—just bring earplugs! 😄

I had a nice clean room with great outlets for charging my devices, and the TV was perfectly positioned for comfortable viewing. I really loved that I could relax in a well-updated bathroom, which was a standout feature of my stay. it was a fantastic deal for the price, and I would definitely revisit for another stay!

Clean room, helpful staff, the bathroom was well-maintained with easy access, and the location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions.

The staff helped me with early check-in, and the room was clean and cool, which helped since it was a hot day. The friendly service, especially given the price. It felt nice to discover the area and its attractions in a laid-back setting.

The door had a simple lock, and the air conditioner was loud, making it hard to relax at times.

Great location and friendly service

The staff were friendly and even provided us with bottled water when we needed it. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had excellent wifi. The only downside was that the air conditioner could be a bit loud at times, hard to relax.
